The Capacitor of the QED displays the charge (the bar and ammo count) and cooldown (the cooldown circle). During that cooldown the QED is disabled like a weapon that overheated. It takes 30 seconds to charge the QED in Snare mode and 2 minutes to cool the QED down. The only ship that has a QED caple of Snaring right now is the RSI Mantis. This mode as a 30km Greenzone (more on that later). (Yes it will also jam ships.) Since it is pretty strong it requires a charge and cooldown time (more info below). So this is the thing that can pull out ships. The Snare creates a "strong" field reaching out 20km which is strong enough to destroy the bubble of already engaged QDs which we call an "interdiction". This mode as a 4km Greenzone (more on that later). Since it is pretty weak it does not require a charge time. The Dampener creates a "weak" field reaching out 2km and is just strong enough to jam the QD (Quantum Drive) of a ship. The QED (Quantum Enforcement Device) is a special device that can create a field that affects the Qunatum Bubble ships use for Quantum Travel. Jamming (with Snare or Dampener): ✔️ Working Quantum Interdiction (with Snare): ✔️ Working (days without failure: >100) As of 3.14 it has been fixed but just in case the bugs come back we are gonna update this status page: The Snare did not always work in the past. I learned everything by try and error and from comments below my last guide so if anyone has more information about this topic i will be happy to add or correct the infos in this post. With 3.15 around the corner I thought this is a good opportunity to repost this guide here and since I updated the map (SnarePlan gen1) using gamefiles (now SnarePlan gen2). A new "Fishing Ships"-guide will be released once "DOLUS - SnarePlan" is finished. Deprecation of SnarePlan gen3 and since gen4 will likely be made public (beyond selected members of DOLUS) a new guide explaining the new mechanics based on SnarePlan gen2 (the Geogebra Map in this guide) would not last long.Increased relevance of "Changed Routes".I will just no longer maintain the Map (add the new Lagrange Points in 3.17.2 and update the current ones) in favor of finishing a webapp for the QED Snare) PENDING REPLACEMENT FOR 3.17.2 BY "DOLUS - SnarePlan" (I will insert a link here once it get's finished and made public but the Snare does not get changed. Using orbital marker coordinates, approach unmarked location (triangulation).Travel down closer to the surface(down).Quantum travel to specific marker till it hits approximately a distance in kilometres from this marker (shown as a number between two arrows “>500>”).For bigger ships, I tested Connie it is around 10 min for moons and around 15 mins for microTech. It takes about 6-7 minutes to get to locations located on moons and less than 10 minutes to get to locations on microTech in Avenger. This is my take on getting to the unmarked locations.
